The Strawberry neighborhood is an unincorporated community located just east of the 101 freeway between the Seminary exit and Tiburon Boulevard. The community is an easy 10-15 minute drive to San Francisco (about eight miles).
The Strawberry Village Shopping Center is the anchor of this charming community. Strawberry Village has been recently renovated and features shops like Safeway and Smith & Hawken, along with many great food options- Pizza Antica, La Boulange, and more.
Strawberry Point Elementary School reopened in the neighborhood in August of 2000. Strawberry Point is set in a pretty location adjacent to wetlands with views of the San Francisco skyline. The school is part of the Mill Valley School District.
The Strawberry Recreation District provides recreation facilities and manages garbage collection for the area. The recreation center is a newly renovated building with athletic fields and a community pools. The center offers a variety of classes and programs for the community.
The Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary is quietly situated in Strawberry on a 148 acre campus. This site was once considered as a potential location for the United Nations.
Housing
Approximately 5000 residents live in Strawberry. Housing ranges from condos to multi-million homes overlooking Richardson Bay and the San Francisco skyline. Within Strawberry, there are a variety of different neighborhoods.
