The Sausalito segment of the Bike Tour of California happens this weekend. It kicks off on Friday evening with the Sausalito Stage One Gala at 6:00 pm in Sausalito. The evening features a black tie dinner, live and silent auction, music & dancing. Event takes place at the Big Bike Tent at Spinnaker Drive in downtown Sausalito. Tickets are $250pp.
On Saturday, experience the Family Bike Rodeo from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event is sponsored by Tam Safe Routes to School and features BMX demonstrations, bike riding skills, drills and safety along, food, drinks and entertainment.
On Sunday evening, the Stage Out Tour de Cuisine takes place, starting at 6:00 pm. The event features gourmet food and wine from Marin restaurants and Bay Area wineries, a silent auction and dancing to one of my favorite fun bands- the Cheeseballs. Tickets are $75 for this fun event.
All events take place at the Big Bike Tent in downtown Sausalito.
The big race starts in Sausalito on Monday, February 18 at 11:00 am. Other events on Monday include a bike expo, a kids decorated bike parade and an invitation only biker’s brunch.
