To access Palm Hill you cross the Alexander Avenue Bridge. In the 1910s Mexican Fan Palms lined the street all the way up to the lower part of the hill, giving the area its name. Later, as the area developed each street was planted with the trees that it was named for. The homes are a variety of Craftsman, Spanish and Mission bungalows which give this neighborhood a distinctive look. As throughout Larkspur there are shortcuts, or “paper trails”, on the hillside that many people use to get to school or for quicker access to town.
