This is the next town after Forest Knolls and is set deeper in the redwoods. It has a little downtown area and a great deli to pick up sandwiches if you are heading out west to the beach. Homes run the gamut from smaller and funky to more substantial and stylish, and with all the trees sunny lots are at a premium. The area offers convenient access to Samuel P. Taylor State Park, which is great for camping, picnicking or exploring the bike path. There’s also a secret watering hole where you’ll often find people jumping off the rocks to swim on warmer days.
